Jonesborough, also known as Tennessee’s Oldest Town, has been a tourist destination for hundreds of years. Some of Jonesborough’s first tourists were Daniel Boone, Andrew Jackson, David Crockett, John Sevier, James K. Polk, and Andrew Johnson. Today we see visitors from around the world traveling to Jonesborough to experience our small-town charm, rich history, unique events, and well-preserved Main Street. As the Storytelling Capital of the World, we inspire visitors to join us and leave their mark on the story that’s still being written.
