Teller-in-Residence
Storytelling Live! is the International Storytelling Center’s renowned teller-in-residence (TIR) series that features a lineup of 26 nationally-known storytellers. From May to November, a different artist appears each week in live matinee performances at the Center theater. Special evening performances and children’s concerts are also presented. Admission is required and reservation are recommended.
Jonesborough’s StoryTown Radio Show
If you are interested in hearing some true, local stories and possibly telling a few of your own then the place for you just might be with the StoryTown Radio Show. This is a show based on true regional stories with live music, comedy and audience sing-a-longs. People of all ages join the group and performances are held the fourth Monday of every month at 7 pm at the International Storytelling Center and admission is required. This is an exciting opportunity to become involved because the performance is now broadcasted on the WETS radio station.
Jonesborough Storytellers Guild
Each Tuesday evening, four of Jonesborough’s finest tellers will share tales, sing songs, perform magic and maybe tell some lies. Performances start at 7 pm at the International Storytelling Center and admission is required.
Mary B. Martin Program for the Arts
