Ridge Rangers Relaunch

The Town of Jonesborough’s Parks and Recreation Department is proud to announce the relaunch of the Ridge Rangers, a volunteer group dedicated to maintaining the beautiful trails at Persimmon Ridge.

The Ridge Rangers are an enthusiastic team of volunteers who combine their love for the outdoors with a commitment to preserving Jonesborough’s natural spaces. Members hike the trails regularly, clean up litter and debris, and report any major damage or hazards to the Parks and Recreation team. Their efforts help ensure the trails remain safe, clean, and enjoyable for all visitors.

“This program is a fantastic way for our community to come together and protect one of our most cherished outdoor spaces,” said Lauren Little, Open Spaces Coordinator and Urban Forrester. “The Ridge Rangers are not just volunteers—they are stewards of the trails, making a tangible impact on our local environment.”

Joining the Ridge Rangers is easy and open to anyone with a passion for the outdoors. Volunteers receive an orientation session and necessary supplies such as gloves, trash bags, and tools. Members can also earn community service hours and be recognized for their contributions.

Interested individuals are encouraged to sign up by contacting the Jonesborough Parks and Recreation Department at 423-753-1030 or emailing laurenl@jonesboroughtn.org.

Let’s work together to keep the trails at Persimmon Ridge safe and pristine for generations to come. Be part of the Ridge Rangers and make a difference in your community today!
